From Monday to Friday at the beginning of the second term, the fourth-grade students improved their English with a great English Project week. Luke and Emily from “English in Action” had come over from Britain to spend one week, six lessons each day with the 20 pupils, talking English only.
In two groups they did a lot of talking, reading and games, worked out little projects and they had a lot of fun together. At the end of the week the girls and boys invited their families to present them and all the other kids in our school a great show: We could watch them as lovely “Three little pigs”, we were impressed by “Jack and the beanstalk”, and we really had a good laugh with their sensational “TV show”.
It was a great success for each single pupil to have fun talking English all the time, and all of them did it well. Congratulations!
We want to thank our Elternverein who had prepared delicious muffins for everybody at the end of the show.
Let me also thank all parents who made it possible for their kids to take part in the project, and our headmaster, Martin Kramer, for his precious assistance whenever someone needed it.
Together we want to thank our English in Action teachers Luke and Wendy who did such a fine job.
